It's amazing! I have watched it already 5 times and still continue to. For a critic to give it a bad rating because does not have political knowledge, it complete none sense. The story is about a little girl and a soldier that saved her life. Both found love during a time of war. The information in the movie is also accurate. Th Turks did assisted, built the Ankara school, and helped children left alone into their base. Ayla, is a true story. The story is not even an adaptation. It's unique and sadly did not make it to the Oscar. The opening scene sets the tone of the film well and I found myself invested in the story throughout. The movie is irresistibly sweet and feels like a healthy dose of multiple genres. It's intense, sweet, funny, and heartfelt all blended together. The movie balances these clashing tones very well and flows at a fantastic pace. The actors are all excellent and all are convincing in the more emotional moments. This is one of those foreign films that excites me to seek out what else is out there from other countries. It's an excellent movie with an unbelievable true story that is sure to tug at anyone's heartstrings by the time the credits roll around.
